Profile steel is widely used in the manufacturing of various steel structures, such as large,
medium, and small section steels such as angle, groove, round, and flat, as well as I-beams,
channel steels, T-beams, window frame steels, automotive retaining rings, and wheel mesh steels.
Profile refers to shaped steel produced by hot rolling of steel, and there are many types of
profiles. Mainly divided into:
1、 Angle steel: Angle steel, commonly known as angle iron, is divided into equilateral angle
steel and unequal angle steel. Equilateral angle steel is formed by two sides of equal length
perpendicular to each other, while unequal angle steel is formed by two sides of different
lengths perpendicular to each other. Angle steel can be composed of various load-bearing
components according to different structures, and can be used as connectors. It is widely used
in various building structures, engineering structures, and mechanical structures.
2、 Channel steel: Channel steel is a long strip of steel with a groove shaped cross-section,
belonging to carbon structural steel for construction and machinery. Channel steel is widely
used in curtain wall engineering, machinery manufacturing, and vehicle manufacturing.
3、 I-beam: I-beam is a long strip of steel with an I-shaped cross-section. Due to its relatively
high and narrow cross-sectional dimensions, the inertia moments of the two main axes of the
cross-section differ greatly. Therefore, it can only be directly used for components that are
bent in the plane of its web plate or to form lattice load-bearing components. I-beams are
widely used in steel beams, buildings, and metal structures.
4、 C-shaped steel: C-shaped steel is automatically processed and formed by a C-shaped steel
forming machine. The C-shaped steel forming machine can automatically complete the forming
process of C-shaped steel according to the given size of C-shaped steel. C-shaped steel is
widely used in purlins, wall beams, and can also be combined into lightweight building
components such as roof trusses and brackets.
5、 T-shaped steel: Named after its cross-section being the same as the English letter T,
T-shaped steel is divided into two types:
1. It is made by dividing H-shaped steel directly into T-shaped steel.
2. Hot rolling for one-time forming. T-shaped steel has the advantages of strong bending
resistance, simple construction, cost savings, and lightweight structure.
6、 Z-shaped steel: Z-shaped steel is a common cold-formed steel with a thickness generally
between 1.5-3.0mm and a cross-sectional height mostly between 120-350. The processing material
is hot-rolled and galvanized. Z-shaped steel is commonly used in large steel structure
factories.
